The man who opened doors

Doors used to be made out of massive wood for centuries. Until the founder of Yamaton Honicore, Mr. Holtslag, realized that this was taking up unnecessary resources that were increasingly hard to come by. In 1950s he took many door manufacturers aback by introducing them to paper honeycomb.

Since then many qualities of paper honeycomb have been developed for filling various types of doors. His invention changed the industry of door manufacturing forever. And it opened up the door for Honicel to become a worldwide player in the production of paper honeycomb solutions.
